Marjaniemi Lighthouse is located at the westernmost point of the island Hailuoto in Finland. 
Designed by Axel Hampus, it was built out of stone in the shape of a round tower formed from three cylindrical segments.
Construction began in 1871, and the lighthouse began its operation in 1872. In 1962, it was automated. 
The beacon is located 30.2 meters above sea level, and at night can be seen from 19 nautical miles (35 km).
